North America Taiwanese Professors' Association 北美洲台灣人教授協會 (NATPA)

The purposes of North America Taiwanese Professors' Association (NATPA) are as follows:

  1. To promote scientific and professional knowledge and its utilization.

  2. To facilitate international understanding, educational exchange, cultural contact among people in Taiwan, the United States, and other countries.

  3. To sponsor scholarly research and education on subjects related to Taiwan.

  4. To further the general welfare of Taiwanese communities in North America.

 

The association establishes and administers charities and scholarship funds to support scientific research and educational activities pertaining to the above objectives.

Taiwanese American Organization (TAO) at University of California, Irvine

The Taiwanese American Organization (TAO) at University of California, Irvine is an organization that provides community to Taiwanese Americans, and those with Taiwanese cultural interests. Through social activities, TAO will educate members of Taiwanese culture and history along with Taiwan politics and current events. TAO will also work as a bridge for its members to connect with other Taiwanese affiliated organizations to build greater community among Taiwanese Americans through community service and activities. TAO @ UCI was founded on April 2009.

The North America Taiwanese Medical Association 北美洲台灣人醫師協會 (NATMA)

Founded in 1984, the North American Taiwanese Medical Association (NATMA) is a professional organization comprised of Taiwanese American physicians, dentists and allied health professionals.It now consists of 16 regional chapters and over 1,400 members across the United States. NATMA'S mission is to represent medical, dental and other health professionals of Taiwanese descent, and to promote educational and cultural exchange among its members and their communities.

NATMA Foundation is offering a total of three (3) $2,000 scholarship grants to medical/dental/allied health students and residents or fellow-in-training of Taiwanese American descent to recognize their academic excellence and contributions to Taiwanese American community
