Description: For the first time in 26 years, Taipei Symphony Orchestra will be performing once again in the United States. Led by Principal Conductor Gilbert Varga, TSO will be performing at San Diego Jacobs Music Center’s Copley Symphony Hall on November 4th. Not only will referring determiner Taiwanese violinist Paul Huang, winner of the 2017 Lincoln Center Award for Emerging Artists, be presenting classic concerto to music lovers, TSO has also specially commissioned Professor Ching-Wen Chao, Ph.D. in Composition at Stanford University, to compose work Reminiscences from Faraway Islands. Dr. Ching-Wen Chao’s work stages the creativity, natural environment, and cultural vitality of Taiwan to the world through the philosophy of contemporary music.

加州台灣同鄉聯誼會連續39年來舉行升旗儀式，並安排介壽號飛機進行空中分列式，增添歡慶中華民國生日的氣氛。
今年參加升旗儀式的僑團與僑胞數將更勝以往，展現海外僑胞齊心支持中華民國。每年國慶升旗典禮是動員社團人力物力最多的活動，在青天白日滿地紅國旗冉冉升空的同時，也凝聚僑胞的向心。

Description: The least tern nests on sandy beaches along the southern coasts of the United States. However, their population is endangered due to human impact and invasive plants on their nesting areas. TAP-SD will volunteer with San Diego Auburn Club and help weed and remove invasive plants at the least tern nesting area in North Fiesta Island. San Diego Aububon Society will provide all supplies as well as water, sunscreen and snacks. Come out and help these tiny birds!
No open toe shoes and please wear long pants. We will have lunch together after the event.

描述1980年三代臺北市「艋舺」地區黑幫兄弟與慘綠少年們的愛恨情仇艋舺是台北的起點，是港口，是街頭艋舺的精神是：拓墾，強悍<團結突圍，生猛而艷麗.
蚊子（趙又廷飾）17歲那年搬到艋舺，認識了和尚（阮纆天飾），志龍阿伯淵有白猴四個好兄弟，五人結為太子幫，太子幫秉持只識意氣，不問意義的精神，憑藉志龍的父親 Geta（馬如龍飾）的黑道地位在學校呼風喚雨踏入黑道就意味著燮經歷腥風血雨，艋舺傳統的黑道秩序遭受著現代文明的威脅，外省人灰狼（鈕承澤飾）要求和艋舺的老大們合作遭到拒絕艋舺局勢暗潮洶湧，殺機四伏.
五兄弟在黑道與友情的決擇中，演繹了一段關於青春的悲情故。本片於2010年春節檔在台灣上映，首周票房達6000萬新台幣，刷新了台灣本土電影的首周票房.

Description: A romance story set during a peasant revolt in 17th century Dutch colonial Taiwan. When The World Met Taiwan "Koeh Hoâi-it" is a Broadway-style Taiwanese Opera that tells the story of a historical turning point of different ethnic groups in Taiwan and their interlinked struggle for the recognition of the land and the hope of survival. Come and see a group of young dramatists from Taiwan interpret the outbreak of the "Koeh Hoâi-It Incident" - when sickle and hoes shook up the foundation of the Dutch dominance - by combining traditional and modern performance art forms. The opera is performed in Taiwanese, with English and Mandarin subtitles.

有「台灣寶塚」之稱的「藝霞歌舞劇團」，以充滿創意與華麗的表演風格在台灣歌舞劇團史上引領風騷廿四年堪稱史上規模最大，經營最久的台灣歌舞劇團，藝霞不僅風靡台灣，更遠征香港，新加坡，馬來西亞。這樣光輝燦爛的年代，卻因戲院改制，負責人與舞台編導相繼過世。於一九八四年劃下句點。

王瑞瑜先生演唱生涯從民歌餐廳、PUB、夜總會開始，並曾發行「重提往事」專輯，成名歌曲還有春風、我依然戀你如昔、子夜徘徊等。母親節當天在橙僑中心舉辦之演唱會，王瑞瑜先生將準備往事只能回味、日落北京城、深秋、我家在那裡、星語、雲河、松林的低語、我是一片雲、小丑、木棉道、漁唱、外婆的澎湖灣、想妳、重提往事、雨中即景、阿美阿美、廟會、金石情、散場電影等組曲，Ending曲為「母親我愛妳」，支支動聽、曲曲懷舊，精采可期。

Description: As a part of their Four Seasons Movie Series, the TA Cultural Society is showing a free screening of their Spring movie: "Beyond Beauty". "Beyond Beauty" is a documentary directed by Taiwan's airborne photographer Zeppelin. The film is Taiwan's first film in the theater, and the film shot at full height, about the current situation of Taiwan's film. The film cost a total of 90 million Taiwan dollars, is the Taiwan documentary film history since the highest cost of film. Director Lin spent nearly three years shooting, the cumulative 400 hours helicopter flight time.

A-Cheng falls in love with Hsiao-hui, a beautiful prostitute who sells herself to a brothel to pay off his debts. On the run from both criminals and the police, the star-crossed lovers flee through Taiwan. The sensitive and conflicting interracial relationship between A-Cheng from the south, and Hsiao-hui from a military community, makes the road trip seem rough and dangerous, full of turbulence and turmoil, and loaded with the weight of developing urban space and Taiwanese history.

Description: Celebrate the Lunar New Year with Pacific Symphony and usher in the Year of the Rooster with music and dance. The program includes the popular Spring Festival Overture by Li Huanzhi, the traditional "Jasmine Flower" and the delightful Butterfly Lovers Concerto with George Gao on erhu. The evening culminates in the inspirational "Ode to Joy" from Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, when Pacific Chorale is joined by the American Feel Young Chorus.
